Biological Information
Background Information:
We address most ion channel targets that may cause membrane depolarization while getting blocked by test compounds. One transporter and well-known GPCRs highly related to seizure are also selected. The compounds against selecting targets depolarize cell membrane and recruit more excitability to neural circuit, further causing seizure occurrence. This seizure liability panel is to prioritize profiling test compounds against targets relevant to seizure safety concerns for potential risk in drug discovery, to get better drug candidates and reduce the attrition rate.
