Background Information:
Client test articles are evaluated for their ability to stimulate PBMCs and specific secreted cytokines and chemokines are measured including IFNg, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-17A, MIP-1α, and TNFα. Isotype controls are used to monitor non-specific activation of PBMC culture. T cell activation by anti-CD3 and superagonistic anti-CD28 antibodies is used as a positive control. Human PBMCs are from five donors in this assay.
