The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer system allows for the automated electrophoresis of various biologics, such as DNA, RNA and Proteins. The system delivers highly precise analytical evaluation of various sample types. Since it is a microfluidics-based system, very small amount of sample (1 µL of nucleic acids, 4 µL for proteins) and reagents are consumed. It can be used to determine DNA size and quantity, RNA quality check, and can replace DSD-PAGE for protein analysis, allowing for less consumption of protein with the sensitivity of silver staining.
