Biological Information

Background Information:

T Cell specific stimulants (ConA, Anti-CD3 antibody, PHA or CD40L/IFNγ) are used to stimulate secretion of cytokines by human PBMCs and inhibition by client compound is reported as pg/mL for the strength of the response. Reference compound dexamethasone is used for comparison purpose. Non-treated cells serve as background control, while induced PBMCs in the presence of vehicle serve as a positive control. The number of PBMC donors in this study is customizable and can be tested as either individual or pooled donors. PBMCs from other species (NHP, rat, mouse, canine) with choice of stimulants are available upon client request.
